Fish Butchery introduced a custom-branded packaging tape solution to create a memorable experience for their customers and ensure their packaging represents their high-quality produce.
Fish Butchery, located in the cultural precinct of Paddington, Sydney, is not your traditional fish shop. As the name suggests, the people of Fish Butchery are specialists in their trade; handling and preparing fish with the greatest care and respect.
What sets this fish shop apart from the rest is their sustainable ‘nose to tail’ philosophy ingrained in their brand ethos. Whereby almost every part of the fish is utilised, ensuring the least amount of waste possible.
In 2018, Fish Butchery decided to implement a custom branded tape that would not only serve to seal their deliveries and orders, but to add a memorable branding experience for their customers.
“We aren’t your average fish shop. From our sustainable nose-to-tail philosophy, to our excellent reputation in the food industry; we couldn’t have average packaging. We turned to Signet for a solution that set ourselves apart from the rest.” —Paul Farag, Fish Butchery Head Chef.
Once the fish has been ordered for delivery or purchased in the shopfront, it is packaged into a box and sealed with Fish Butchery’s custom branded tape featuring their unique company logo.
“We use the custom tape to seal and brand our boxes once the product is purchased. We wanted the tape primarily for branding and to create a more professional look.”
Customised packaging tape is a multi-use solution for branded packaging and can be a cost-effective way of branding compared to customised boxes. It creates a surprise and delight moment for Fish Butchery patrons.
“We love the reaction we get from our customers when we hand our product over the counter. They are expecting the highest quality from us, so to have it packaged in such a way gives us a sense of pride.”
